Legal

Terms of Use

Last updated: April 28, 2026

The short version: use Kombiner, enjoy it, don't do anything illegal with it. Everything below just spells that out in more detail.

Using the app

Kombiner is a desktop tool for DJs and music lovers to organise, enrich, and manage their music libraries. You're welcome to use it for personal and professional purposes. The one rule: don't use it for anything illegal.

By downloading or using Kombiner you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it — no hard feelings.

Free vs Pro

The Free plan lets you manage up to 100 tracks with no time limit. Every feature is available — you only hit a wall when your library grows past 100 tracks.

The Pro plan removes that limit and unlocks any future Pro-only features. Pricing is listed on the website and may change, but if you're already a subscriber you'll stay on your existing rate unless you switch plans yourself.

Delivery terms

Kombiner is a digital software product. No physical goods are shipped. Upon successful payment, your Pro subscription is activated immediately within the app. Access is granted via license or account activation — there is no delivery lead time.

If activation doesn't occur within a few minutes of payment, contact us at dan@kujin.dev and we'll resolve it promptly.

Subscriptions and cancellations

Pro is billed monthly ($3.29/month) or annually ($32.99/year) — your choice. You can cancel at any time and you'll keep Pro access through the end of the period you've already paid for. Payments are processed by Tpay LLC; accepted methods are Visa and Mastercard.

Refunds: We do not issue refunds for partial months as a general rule. However, if something went wrong on our end, reach out at dan@kujin.dev and we'll be reasonable about it. Refund requests must be made within 14 days of the charge.

Chargebacks: If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We resolve legitimate disputes quickly and chargebacks create unnecessary delays for everyone.

Your data

Your music library, settings, and any metadata you've added are stored on your computer. You own all of it. If you uninstall the app, that data goes with it unless you've made a backup yourself — we can't recover it for you.

Keep backups of anything you care about. Seriously.

Plugins

Kombiner has a plugin system. Plugins built by us are official; anything from the community is a third-party creation that we haven't audited. Install community plugins at your own risk and only grant them the permissions they actually need.

If a plugin behaves badly — makes unexpected network calls, writes files it shouldn't, etc. — that's on the plugin author, not on us. You can always revoke permissions or remove a plugin from the settings panel.

Copyright and music

Kombiner helps you organise and manage music. It's your responsibility to make sure you have the right to use the tracks in your library — purchased, licensed, or otherwise legitimately obtained. We don't encourage or enable copyright infringement.

If you're a DJ performing publicly, make sure you're covered by the appropriate performance licences in your territory. That's outside our scope, but worth mentioning.

Third-party integrations

Kombiner connects to services like Spotify, SoundCloud, Beatport, and others via plugins. Those services have their own terms of use and their own APIs, which they can change or shut down at any time. When they do, integrations may break.

We'll do our best to keep things working, but we can't guarantee uptime or feature availability for services we don't control.

No warranty

Kombiner is provided as-is. We believe it's good software and we work hard on it, but we can't promise it'll be bug-free or that it'll work perfectly on every machine in every scenario.

If something breaks, file an issue and we'll look into it.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for data loss, missed gigs, corrupted libraries, or other damages that arise from using — or not being able to use — Kombiner. Use it sensibly, keep backups, and don't run critical operations without a plan B.

Changes to these terms

We'll update the date at the top whenever we change something. For anything material — like changes to how billing works or new restrictions on use — we'll make sure to flag it clearly. Continuing to use Kombiner after an update means you accept the new terms.

Questions?

If something here is unclear or you have a specific concern, drop us a line at dan@kujin.dev. We're a small team and we actually read our email.
